Workshop by Susan Oliver: Assessment Issues in Musical Performances

Some music instructors feel that criteria are useful for articulating desirable performance characteristics in feedback to students. Other instructors believe criteria-based assessment represents a narrow view which tends to interfere with their holistic assessments of music performance. Where do you stand?
